I’ve been interested in creating since I was young and have spent many years experimenting in various crafts. At college I studied Design Crafts, which allowed me to work in textiles, metalwork, glass, ceramics and wood. It was here that I began to love fabrics! Gradually, I have refined my tastes and honed my skills to sewing and working with textiles.

Currently, I am enjoying creating pieces that bring a touch of sweetness and beauty to a home. To sew pieces that could be uplifting and cheerful is a real joy for me. And if it’s dainty or pretty too, that’s just perfection!

My work begins with sketches and ideas, before I sew up many (many!) samples to perfect the sizes and colours. This helps me to refine my designs, to see if something doesn’t quite work, before I settle for my final choices.

I’m inspired by a variety of topics, especially natural forms. This is certainly a topic that I’d really like to develop and include into my work much more in the future.

Everything in my shop is made in the UK, and completely by my own fair hands!
