Announcement   It is with regret that I have decided not to continue to support my Etsy shop into the future. I'm finding it increasingly difficult to find the time to do it justice - to manage an Etsy shop properly takes a lot of attention, as Etsy themselves perpetually change the format and how listings need to be done to be found in searches and the like. It's also true to say that I have some ethical issues with how Etsy itself is managed; especially as a non-US based seller - legislation I am required to comply with is sometimes at odds with Etsy's own methods and rules.

So I am going to allow my shop to gradually empty as the current listings expire. If however you've see or favourited something that you would like to buy, I'd be very happy to list or renew it for you - and you're still very welcome to contact me by convo if you have any questions.

My biggest regret, by far, is no longer being able to look after the wonderful customers I've had here - and I thank you most profusely for your continued support, it really has made a difference to my ability to make a living this way and has simply really mattered to me. I am still making and selling my jewellery, but just find it hard to manage my Etsy store as well as my own web site, where I do the vast majority of my business.

I thank all of my lovely customers for your support and wish you all the very best for the future and I apologise for any inconvenience this decision may cause.

==========================

I carefully hand craft jewellery in Sterling silver and copper, also using semi-precious, crystal and decorative beads. Please note that I'm in the UK, but love shipping globally.

Wrapping for all orders and UK postage are included in prices, with a modest postage supplement for overseas buyers.

Please see my Profile and Policies pages for more information.

All jewellery items are hand made by me - in a smoke and pet free home. If you don't see exactly what you want, or would like a slight modification, please feel free to ask.

If there is any aspect of my service which is unclear, please contact me before making a purchase. In all instances, I want happy customers and will endeavour to make the transaction and experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

I value quality and personal customer service highly myself and try to give my customers the type of service I would hope to receive as a buyer.

Accepted payment methods

  • Pay with Visa
  • Pay with Master Card
  • Pay with American Express
  • Pay with Discover
  • Pay with PayPal
Payment
Payment should be made through PayPal. You can pay by debit or credit card even if you don't already have a PayPal account - when presented with the PayPal log in screen, adjacent to the log in boxes, there should be a phrase something like "Don't have a PayPal account?" and below this may be various credit card logos. Please select the text link in this area worded something like "Continue" or "continue checkout" to pay without logging in to PayPal. Orders are sent when full payment is cleared - if you pay by PayPal e-cheque, please be aware that this can take several days. But card and PayPal balance payments should however be instant and won't delay shipping.

Shop Currency:

Etsy has recently introduced the ability for shops to list items for sale in their own domestic currency and I decided to take up the option to list my jewellery prices in GB Pounds Sterling.

On each item listing page, beneath my published price in Pounds, you should see an approximate price for the item, in your own chosen display currency. If you want to change the currency displayed, there's a link to do so at the bottom of every page.

Choosing to list in Sterling allows me to keep prices constant and consistent across all selling venues, which is fairer to both myself and to buyers, when eliminating the regular and unpredictable fluctuations in exchange rates between Sterling and US dollars.

When checking out through Etsy you will continue to see the price in GB Pounds Sterling, with your local currency approximation close by. Once logged in to PayPal to complete the transaction, you will pay in your own currency - PayPal will take care of that transaction and currency conversion for you - you will pay in your own local currency and PayPal will pay me for the item in Sterling. You will pay very close to the approximated Etsy price, as they use PayPal's own conversion rates to give you that figure. There are no additional fees on Etsy or PayPal added to that price for the currency exchange.

If you're unsure of anything, please feel free to contact me for assistance before making your purchase and I will work with you to make the transaction as smooth as possible. Please see Etsy's help page for how to make a purchase: http://help.etsy.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/339/kw/
Shipping
Please note that I'm in the UK and items are posted from the UK.

Items are sent first class post within the UK and as airmail 'small packets' to overseas destinations. Due to the practical consideration of reaching a post office, items are usually posted out the day after the order is completed.

Items are sent using standard postal services, but if you require a faster, tracked or guaranteed service, please contact me before purchase for a new price quotation and revised custom listing.

All jewellery items are supplied with gift quality presentation, but if you want specific arrangements for sending directly to gift-recipients, please outline your requirements and I'll be happy to oblige, where it is possible. Please ask in advance if you want to ensure your wishes can be accommodated.

I pack with great care and external packaging should more than adequately protect the item and I expect them to reach you in perfect condition. In the interests of preventing unnecessary wastage, external packaging materials are re-used where possible.

You will be advised when the item is dispatched and I always obtain proof of posting. But once the package is within the postal service, it is wholly beyond my control and the time it will take to arrive can only be estimated. The Royal Mail require 15 working days (3 weeks) before a UK item can be queried, longer for overseas (see below in respect of the US). If an item is required in a time-sensitive manner, please contact me before buying to discuss delivery options. Please note that I operate my shop in accordance with my local legal obligations, predominantly the EU Directive on Consumer Rights.

Customs and Duty:

International buyers are wholly responsible for any taxes or duties due on the item as it passes through customs and there may also be collection fees charged by the carrier.

So please familiarise yourself with the import thresholds applicable for goods for your region - I will always work with the customer to work out the best way to dispatch items, so please feel free to discuss options with me. Appropriate and accurately completed custom forms and invoices always accompany each overseas parcel. I will not put inaccurate information on customs forms for the purpose of evading import duties.

Parcels to the US:

For items going to the US, please note that Homeland Security have made significant security-informed changes to the routing and handling of mail to the US (i.e. it is no longer transported in the hold of passenger aircraft, but must be separately freighted to the US) and the new methods are likely to increase transit times over those experienced previously.

I label and address parcels carefully, fill in customs forms fully and accurately and dispatch promptly to expedite delivery as efficiently as possible, but simply cannot control or predict the time items might take to pass through these increased security measures, so your patience is appreciated.
Refunds and Exchanges
Damage in transit or faulty items:

I package items with great care and expect them to arrive with you in perfect condition, but things can simply happen in transit beyond my control. If when an item arrives with you, you are less than delighted with its condition, please contact me and I'll be happy to address your concerns. Please retain all packaging and labelling if there is any concern over the condition the parcel arrives in, the carrier may require it for inspection. You may alternatively be asked to photograph the item if it was sent internationally and damage has occurred in transit.

Returning items that don't meet your requirements:

I would hope that you'll be delighted with your order, but under the new EU Directive on Consumer Rights you now have an increased period of 14 days after receipt of your order to inspect the items and ensure that they meet your requirements. If I receive no communication from you within 14 days of the anticipated delivery date you will be deemed to have received the items and to be fully satisfied with your order.

If you choose to return an item, you must advise me within that 14 day period that you intend to do so and then must get the item to me within 14 days. A refund will be made once I have the item back and have inspected it. When you advise me that you will be returning an item, to assist you in doing so, I will send you a link to a pdf version of a form to print out and complete to return with your item, to ensure that no errors are made during the refund process and to cancel the order. You are advised to keep a copy of your completed form.

The returned item must be in the original 'new' condition; totally unworn and preferably in the original packaging as this is designed for security in transit. Postage for returns will not be part of the refund, unless the item is damaged or faulty, in which case I will refund your return postage fee along with the full item price paid. When an item was originally purchased, if the customer also paid for an expedited delivery upgrade to ensure a timed delivery, this additional fee is not refundable, just the item price, which included postage.

Within the terms of the Directive on Consumer Rights, I reserve the right to deduct money from the refund where there is evidence of wear or damage and this diminishes the value of the returned item.

Please be mindful that once items are paid for in full and delivered to you, they become your property, so legal responsibility for them during any return transit is yours and an appropriate postal method with insurance and proof of delivery is recommended for your protection. At the very least you must obtain Proof of Posting.

Please note that custom or bespoke items that couldn't be sold to someone else (eg. personalised or custom fit) are excluded from these rights of return.

Digital downloads:

In the case of digital downloads (such as tutorials), the order can only be cancelled, within the 14 day right to return, BEFORE the download commences. Once you start to download the file, your right to cancel the order is waived. The shop software does record the success status of attempted downloads.
Additional policies and FAQs
Sizes:

A good range of sizes are included in each listing, stated in both metric and imperial units. Please note that the photographs here tend to make small jewellery items look larger than they are in reality, so please do check the stated sizes against a ruler to ensure that the finished item will meet your needs.

Adjustments:

If some aspect of a piece does not meet your requirements - such as the length of a necklace, or the style or material of earwires, please feel free to ask if the item can be modified. Where it's practical and possible to do so, the item will be modified for you after purchase, although I reserve the right to make a price adjustment if it is warranted - although you would be advised of this before committing to the purchase.
