Every book I'm about to create or bind puts me in a research and introspection process.
I study the text and let it affect me until I discover the incentive that will lead me to the final creation. I use elements of the book's architecture and integrate them into the final composition. I am interested in the tangibility and materiality of the book, the typography, the passage of the cover in the third dimension, the creation of volumes from incisions, diplomas, folds, cuts, tears.
I explore the form, and I usually combine techniques from other fields such as metalworking, weaving, papermaking, engraving.
