Can you make a cover with my logo/photo/personal design?
No, sorry. I don't make the books them selves, I search for real vintage books in a wide variety of subjects to try to find something to suit anyone and everyone but I do not make the covers. Search here on etsy for book makers, get them to make you a blank book and I can hollow it out for you after though.
Can you make a book that will specifically fit my phone/removable hard-drive/object of great importance?
Of course! For the best results I'd like you to trace your object and mail a hard copy to me so I can use that tracing as a template, if the tracing is good, the fit will be good. Send me a message and we can work on a plan.
Can you make a hollow book to fit my gun?
Absolutely! I'll need a tracing of your particular firearm and a measurement of the thickness (so the book cover closes) and I'll use that tracing as a template to cut your book. Of course, even though you can keep your gun in there, its a novelty and is no substitute for a trigger lock and an actual locking gun safe.
When will I recieve my hollow book?
I try to ship everyday, even on Saturday so if you order overnight it's likely to ship next day, if you order early in the day (eastern time) it might even go same day. Every order is sent Priority Mail so in the US there is a 2-3 day average shipping time. If you're in a rush, just send a message or leave a note to seller and let me know so I can try to accommodate it.
Can I send you my favorite book to be cut out?
Yes you can! If you send me a book I can cut it out and send it back to you, some size restrictions apply, but as long as its hardcover I can usually cut it out.
Can you copy a hollow book design from another shop?
No, sorry. Certainly there will be instances of the same book being used by multiple shops, but I won't copy any specific designs, or try to match a certain cutout shape that has been creatively designed by someone else. I don't want to see my ideas in other shops and I can only imagine they don't want to see theirs in mine.
What do people put in their hollow Book?
The short answer is, Whatever you want, but I've heard everything from cash and jewelry, to the TV remotes. you can use them as a catch all to drop your keys and loose change on the table inside the door, you can set them on the coffee table to help keep clutter down by putting the pens and pencils you can never find, or you can get one to blend in with your book collection to keep documents, passports, keys, thumb drives and/or valuables.
I don't have a lot of books or a bookshelf will a hollow book work for me?
If you don't have a lot of books and worry that having just one will stand out, put it on your night stand by the bed or on your dresser, it'll look like you keep your favorite book at your bedside. Or pick one that matches some decor theme in your home, color, or style, and make a little vignette grouping with the book, and it'll blend in as a design element.
