Our story
There is nothing like a feeling of belonging to a great family of talented craftsmen. The continuity of generations can be very clearly traced in our family: my grandfather was a famous couturier in a town in southern California, and my father ran a tailor shop.
The idea of creating our own Bookingham sewing brand did not arise by chance out of anywhere. It all started with an interesting find when I found my grandmother's album covered with dust in the far corner of the attic during the renovation. She considered it long lost, and when she saw my find, she was so touched and tearfully begged me to keep the family heirloom.
The album was indeed in a dispiriting condition: frayed edges, a faded cover, and yellowed photographs. The task was to create a special cover that would reliably protect the family artifact from ultimate destruction. That same evening, I sketched out the outline of a fabric case with leather inserts and a zip fastener. Households got so excited about thу idea that they decided to launch their own line of accessories: book-like cases and bags for electronics.
The name Bookingham, which is much in tune with the name of the famous royal residence, is intended to reflect royal luxury, elegance, and sophistication. I flatter myself, I can say for sure that the cases I produce are made with a special manner. This is painstaking hard work, which requires adjusting every single line, thoroughly selecting combinations of fabrics and textures, and as a result clients receive a one of its kind masterpiece. And I’m willing to stay strong in the pursuit of my goals since there are still too many ideas ahead!
