This is everything I had imagined it would be! It's hanging proudly front and center in our family room and everybody who comes in compliments it. Thank you Emily!!

About

This is me.

Boone Creek Loft emerged out of my never-ending desire to create. Since my sweet son was born and I decided to stay home, I have yearned for a creative outlet. I felt that I needed some way to express, to be creative, to produce.

In January of 2013, I made a goal to start selling my art. A crazy goal, since I hardly had time to paint, but since I'm a goal-oriented person, it worked! I opened shop in April of 2013 and it has been an amazing journey so far.

I love finding old wood and making it beautiful again. The life of one of my pieces begins in my favorite little sketch book. An idea pops into my head and I have to get it out onto paper, sometimes even in the middle of the night. Then comes the construction phase. Every couple of weeks we (my awesome husband and I) head over to one of our favorite local reclaimed wood "spots" (i.e. businesses that are giving up their old shipping pallets or barn wood) with our baby blue Ford and load up! We disassemble all the pallets, sand, cut and reassemble them into wood canvases. My favorite part of the whole process is watching that little sketch or vision from my head come to life on a wooden canvas. I paint everything by hand. It takes longer that way and comes with little imperfections, but I love the look and feel of it. Stencils don't cut it in my world :)

I feel so grateful to be a part of such a unique and talented community of buyers and sellers. Sometimes, this whole thing feels like a dream! Like I said, Life sure is sweet :)

I feel so blessed in my life. I am a mom to a happy little man and a sweet baby girl and am expecting our third; I am a wife to my loving high school sweetheart; and I get to create beautiful things that make people happy. Life sure is sweet :)

Hello and welcome to Boone Creek Loft!

Boone Creek Loft is named after a favorite place of mine. As a little girl, I would ride my bike to the end of our country road and skip rocks in Boone Creek. It's where we went sledding every winter. As I grew older, it was the place I would go just to sit a while and think. And it's the place that I had my last first kiss. Boone Creek holds a special place in my heart. I grew up alongside it's waters, played in its creek bed, danced on its bridge and kissed beneath its shade. So, here I am, sharing a little bit of my love, my laughter and my joy from Boone Creek.
