About

Bored with splinters, Aron starts an Etsy shop!

After spending several years as a woodworking hobbyist, I began designing and making cutting boards. These were originally intended to be used as unique gifts for family and friends, but as my interest in the craft grew, so did my desire to create new projects. Some of these have been posted to Facebook, growing a small following who encouraged me to start a shop on Etsy. It is that shop that you are visiting today!

My work focuses on functional, yet artistically interesting woodcraft. Many of my pieces are designed to be everyday items, that can also be used for entertaining. All of my food service related items are made with foodsafe and naturally occurring materials.

I believe strongly that wood achieves its beauty through its unique characteristics. Along with my passion to use each board to its fullest potential, I will actively incorporate knots, curls, birdseyes, burls and other imperfections into my work. These will help you, and your guests recognize the hand crafted nature of your piece, and hopefully give you a sense of natural beauty as you use your items.

Most of all, I hope you will find my work entertaining. If you see something you like, I hope you'll consider allowing me to make it for you. If you should have an idea that is not here, I'm always open to suggestions.

Shipping
At the moment I am using a shipping company, and my own efforts, to package and send all shipments. Remember, if you see me at a craft show, there is no shipping charge. Or, if you find a less expensive option for shipping (including proper packaging), I'm happy to work out a reduced price with you - and perhaps improve my services for everyone else too!

For now, here's how items are shipping:

Domestic orders ship via USPS or FedEx. You may select a faster option, at the time of your order if you prefer and I will adjust the price accordingly. (This is a new option through Etsy. If upgrading is unavailable, send me a personal conversation request and we'll work it out.)

All orders will have a tracking number, and be insured for your protection and mine.

International orders will be shipped using the best method available to arrive within 30 days.

I am NOT responsible for any customs or import fees charged by international post offices.

Once an international package has left the country, I am no longer the responsible party. It is the responsibility of the receiving party to follow up with their customs and postal departments to determine the whereabouts of the package, if it is delayed or lost.

Orders will not be replaced or refunded unless all avenues of follow up have been exhausted by the buyer to locate the package and proof of said contact is provided.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are unsatisfied with your non-personalized product, you may return it within 10 days for a full refund, minus the shipping costs; HOWEVER, custom and personalized products are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Buyer assumes all responsibility and costs for return shipping. Refunds will not be given until the product is returned and received - I recommend you use shipping with tracking to ensure it's proper return.

Given proper care, your cutting board will last you for many years. Boards that are damaged due to improper care and maintenance will not be refunded.
Additional policies and FAQs
