Hello! Welcome to my shop! I hope you will find something you like for your miniature scene.

News! In spring of 2016 I was awarded IGMA Artisan status! I'm very pleased to have this honor, and I continue to hone my skills in flower making.

I make 1:12 scale plants and flowers using paper, floral wire, and a lot of patience. Some flowers are made using paper punches, others by hand cutting each leaf and some by using both methods. The paper is then hand-colored using watercolors, acrylic paint, or chalk pastel. Then, I gently shape each petal or leaf using a tiny ball stylus, the end of my paint brush or whatever else is handy that will do the job. Using tweezers I pick up each piece and glue the plants together.

Because of this in depth process and time required to make each piece (think hours!) you may think my prices steep. However, as with all things handmade, and miniatures no exception, you get what you pay for. That said, I realize not everyone has the same budget, so I am willing to work with you to do custom orders that work within your proposed budget ( i.e instead of a hydrangea with 10 flowers, making one with 5).

I strive for realism when making my plants because I think that with miniatures, details are what makes them so great. No matter what type of setting you are creating.

My Etsy shop is new, but I have been selling on eBay for a while now. If you would like read reviews of previous transactions my seller id is alexg3752. Also, please feel free to contact me directly.

Frequently asked questions

What are your plants made of?

Many different materials, however almost all of them are made from different types of paper and floral wire. These papers are hand colored, painted and shaped to create the petals and leaves.

How long does it take to make them?

This varies significantly. I think the longest I've spent on a plant was at least 20 hours. The shortest length of time was probably around 2 hours.
