My Etsy shop is still open, so welcome to my shop of mixed media jewellery delights!! Keep safe & healthy everyone! 😁❤️

About BowerbirdJewellery

Creating nature and historical inspired quirky jewellery for people who like to make a statement!

I love to make jewellery, it's my passion! so I thought I would start an online shop so that I could share my beady makes with everyone! I am nearly always happy and laughing, so my jewellery reflects this - wacky or quirky would sum up my style of jewellery - hopefully you will like my work too!

My work can be seen within the interactive Egyptian exhibit in the Royal Cornwall Museum, Truro and you may even see me or my projects printed in various UK Bead & Jewellery Making Magazines!

My new phase is teaching - I teach jewellery making workshops at Falmouth Adult Education Centre and have recently taught a jewellery making workshop at Cornwall Records Office using images from their archives! To find out more please contact me! I am happy to travel around Cornwall to teach jewellery making at your local club or group, please contact me for more information!

Please bear in mind if your item contains vintage components that there may be a little wear and tear on these pieces because of the nature of the item's age. I try and use the best quality materials in my work, but if you are unhappy with it for any reason, please let me know as soon as possible or within three days of receiving the item. Once you've heard back from me and you would still like to return it, please return the item undamaged in its original packaging if possible. Shipping
Coronavirus Update: I will endeavour to post all jewellery goodies within 1 - 3 business days of receipt of payment, first class and through Royal Mail - but due to the current pandemic, I am reducing my visits to the post office (plus my local post office is only open for two hours a day), so naturally there are delays in posting and delivery. If there will be a delay, I will contact you with a dispatch date and keep you informed as much as possible when I will be sending off your item.

I use First Class post within the UK and Standard International airmail when I ship worldwide.

Please allow extra time during the pandemic situation as postal services are reducing deliveries etc in certain countries for safety. If you’re unsure, please message me first and I will check the Royal Mail coronavirus update on international post for you first.

Delivery Times: For items to Europe, please allow at least 10 working days for your item to arrive.
For USA and Overseas: Please allow at least 14 working days for your item to arrive. During busy postal periods - such as Christmas (November and December) your order may be delayed due to the large volume of mail around this time. Royal Mail states that an item is considered 'lost' if you have not received it 25 days after expected delivery. If you don't receive your item within this time, please contact me and I'll arrange a refund or an alternative item to replace it if required.

Standard postage items do have insurance up to value of £20, but if your item is of higher value, please consider adding additional insurance/recorded postage, which I am happy to do at cost.

If possible, I try to be Eco-friendly and recycle envelopes and packaging, but I will package your item as safe as I can!
Additional policies and FAQs
All of my work is made with love, care and attention to detail and perfection. I try to make my jewellery as strong as possible to live up to daily wear and tear. If you treat them with respect they should last years! Handle it carefully, avoid tugging it sharply and in the case of beaded rings as a precaution don't have them submerged in water constantly. Be kind when opening/closing clasps, store them flat and out of direct sunlight if possible, also avoid contact with perfumes and other cosmetics (they may damage the surface of some beads. And remember that most of my beaded work is made with small glass beads, so if they're dropped on a hard surface they may not survive intact!
