From Crafting to Commerce
I started making these boxes as gifts for my own friends and family. My first box was for a friends new baby as I knew having a special box to store all the baby keepsakes in was the best gift I could give her. I wanted it to be personalised so she could treasure it forever. As a graphic designer I love working with photography and typography so I came up with the idea of a Keepsake Box which included a photograph.
After having such amazing feedback from this first box I developed the idea for a small business venture, there are so many uses for this Unique Personalised Keepsake Box.
With friends requesting boxes for many occasions, including birthdays, weddings, funerals, Christmas, I thought I may have found a little niche market that thrills my creative mind and makes me a little extra pocket money as well.
My shop name was born by a close friend who I made a box for recently for her daughter. She called me the Box Queen and it has been developing ever since.
