Got it fast! A great brush with a comfy man-sized handle that keeps my hand out of the lather in my scuttle.

"Turning" into a Business

After being laid-off from corporate America and, at age 60, finding that prospective employers were simply "not interested," Brad decided to turn his long time hobby into a business and "hire himself." His increasing success as an on-line entrepreneur and artist/exhibitor in juried art shows and fine art galleries validated his decision to move forward and "never look back."

A firm believer that "form follows function," Brad specializes in fine art - yet eminently practical - wood-turned Pepper Mills, Coffee Grinders and other wood turned work to grace the finest homes.

You will find that Brad's is a disciplined style - classic and sometimes whimsical. On one hand, he draws inspiration from the simplicity and integrity of classical forms such as the “Queen” in the chess set, from which his “Classic Series” Pepper Mills and “PepSals” (Pepper Mills with Salt Shakers on top) are derived, or the urns and vases of ancient Greece whose timeless shapes are mirrored in Brad’s Urns, Vases and “Classic Series” Coffee Grinders. Similarly, his candle holders and candlesticks reflect the Rococo style of the early 18th century as well as the classic shapes mentioned previously.

At the same time, Brad’s “Olde Tyme Series” Pepper Mills and Coffee Grinders are a light-hearted, nostalgic throwback to the coffee grinders and cracker barrels common to general stores of the late 19th century.

Brad looks forward to your patronage!

Welcome to my Etsy Shop! Here you will find some of the most beautiful and "touchable" woodturned art nature has to offer. All of my work is hand made from renewable hardwoods - local trees lost to storms, rescued from construction sites, and from certified sustainable resources.

Have a question? Convo me and I'll do my best to answer it. I love to talk about my work!

Note about custom orders: due to high demand for my work from both on-line and art show patrons, my lead time on custom orders is now running roughly four - six weeks. To help manage workflow, I'm also requesting a 50% non-refundable deposit on all custom orders placed from this date forward, with the balance due on your approval of photos of the finished work. Please understand that I hand-craft each piece in the order received. Hand-crafting time time, especially to maintain the level of quality that is my hallmark. Do know that I value your patronage and regret any inconvenience this might cause you.
I do my best to ship by the next business day unless otherwise noted on the listing. All shipments are well padded and securely packaged using recycled (or re-used) packing materials wherever practical.

Etsy now offers you the ability to choose your own shipping method*. This allows you to select the method that best fits your time and budget!

*Note to international patrons: I do ask you to be responsible for all duties and taxes charged at the time of importation. Delivery times are those quoted by the U.S. Postal Service and are not guaranteed. It's a sad fact of life that international shipments do sometimes get held up by Customs.... I follow all applicable export laws.
Refunds and Exchanges
I am very confident that you will be delighted with everything you purchase from me. But I also know that buying fine craft on-line requires a leap of faith. So while I make every effort to provide accurate descriptions and photos of my work, I know that things can feel different once you have them in your hands. I consider all purchases from me to be bonds of trust with my patrons. i take your trust very seriously--and for that reason, I do everything in my power to ensure your satisfaction.

If you find you don't like your purchase once it's in your home, just return it to me within seven days. I am happy to refund your purchase price (or give you an exchange) as long as the piece comes back to me in its original condition. I do ask you to pay return shipping--and recommend you insure the package for its full value. If the piece was damaged when you received it, be sure to save the original packaging and photograph it, if you can. That way, I can submit a claim to the carrier

Special Note about Wet Shaving Supplies...

Unless there's a defect, excessive shedding from a brush, etc., I cannot accept returns or issue refunds on any wet shaving supplies: razors, shaving brushes or bowls that have been used. If you have any questions about any wet shaving merchandise you purchased from me, send me a Contact message and I'll work with you to make things right. But please understand that brushes, razors or bowls that were poorly taken care of are not subject to refund or replacement.
Additional policies and FAQs
One of my claims to fame (as it were) is that I will undertake just about any project that can be completed on a wood lathe. So if you have a really "different" idea, let me know; perhaps I can make it happen....

Some commissions I have accepted include re-creating missing pieces to treasured antiques (spinning wheel parts, hat racks, and windsor chair spokes to name just a few) replacing Victorian era porch ballusters, crafted special fit Indian clubs and one-of-a-kind lidded boxes.
