Everything in this shop was made by hand by Katie Davis — a real person with real pencils who has been drawing and writing children's books for over thirty years. Katie's picture books have been published by Harcourt, Simon & Schuster, and HarperCollins/Greenwillow. There is no AI, no clip art, no stock illustration, and no outsourced design anywhere in this shop. Katie Davis is a children's book author/illustrator whose work spans 10 picture books, a middle grade novel, a young adult novel, & guides for writers. Her books have received starred reviews from Kirkus Reviews, won Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum & Gold Awards, been selected by the Jr Library Guild, Scholastic Book Club, & the Children's Book-of-the-Month Club, & one—Kindergarten Rocks!—was given by the state of Georgia to every pre-kindergarten child in the state. She co-founded Picture Book Summit, served as Director of the Institute of Children's Literature, and has led writing workshops for children across the US. She has spent her entire career in the world of children's literacy, and everything she makes reflects that.

Yes — all journals and activity pages are licensed for single-classroom use. That means one teacher can print copies for their own students. The wall art files are high-resolution PNGs at 350 DPI, sized at a 4:5 ratio — which means they print beautifully at 4×5", 8×10", 16×20", and 24×30". These are standard sizes that fit frames you can find at any craft or home goods store.

Everything in Brain Burps About Books is a digital download — meaning you receive a PDF or PNG file that you download, print, and use at home or at a copy shop. Nothing physical is mailed to you. No shipping costs, no waiting for delivery. Your file is available immediately after your payment is confirmed.

You'll receive an email from Etsy with a download link as soon as your payment goes through. You can also find your downloads anytime by going to your Etsy account, clicking Purchases and Reviews, and selecting Download Files next to your order. Files are available for download for 30 days after purchase, so save them to your computer, phone, or cloud storage as soon as you can.

Any home printer will work for the journals and activity pages — even a basic inkjet printer gives lovely results. For the wall art prints, a home printer works beautifully for smaller sizes. For larger sizes (11x14 and up) we recommend uploading your file to an online print service like Mixbook, Printique, or Shutterfly, or taking it to a local print shop for the crispest results. Always print on matte cardstock or photo paper for the best quality.

Yes! For personal use you can print as many copies as you need for your own home, family, or single classroom. The files are yours to print and reprint for personal use as many times as you like. Please see the licensing note below for what's not included.

Because digital files are delivered instantly and cannot be "returned" the way a physical product can, all sales of digital downloads are final.
