My art journey...
Nací en Escocia, pero he vivido y viajado por varios países. En 2015 regresé a Escocia para dedicarme por completo al arte. Desde entonces, he expuesto en numerosos países, ilustrado dos libros infantiles, cedido los derechos de varias obras a Ikea y ganado un premio internacional de ilustración de la Sociedad de Escritores e Ilustradores de Libros Infantiles.
Soy autodidacta y he seguido un camino tortuoso e indirecto para convertirme en artista profesional, lo cual ha sido, para mí, una ruta más lenta pero más interesante.
En los últimos años, dedicarme al arte ha quedado en segundo plano frente a The Honeybee and the Hare, la cafetería y galería independiente que dirijo con mi marido, que es chef. Pero el deseo de volver a la vida de artista siempre ha sido fuerte, y al amanecer de 2026 mis pinturas y lápices me llamaron de nuevo al estudio.
Scottish by birth I have lived and travelled in various countries but returned to Scotland in 2015 to become a full-time artist. Since then, I have exhibited in multiple countries, illustrated two children’s books, licensed multiple artworks to Ikea, and won an international illustration award with the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
I am self-taught and have followed a winding and indirect path to becoming a professional artist, which has been, for me, a slower but more interesting route.
In recent years, making art has been secondary to establishing The Honeybee and the Hare, the independent coffee shop and gallery I run with my chef husband. But the urge to return to the artist’s life has always been strong, and at the dawning of 2026 my paints and pencils beckoned me back to the studio.
