Wow. Absolutely gorgeous, and I’m honored to add it to my collection of The Last Unicorn artwork. Artist captured the mood of the story perfectly.

About

I've been drawing all my life, but it was only over the last few years that I started to truly understand, that I need to be creating art all the time to really find my bliss.

I'm self-taught and enjoy pushing myself a little further with each new piece. I found the love of shading in graphite when I was 13 years old, which was a blessing and a curse. It was a blessing, because it opened the doors to photo realism, but it was also a curse, because it scared me way from exploring the world of color for way too long. It wasn't until a few years ago (many, many, many years later) that I finally picked up some Prisma colored pencils and decided it was time to start learning a new medium. Now I try to find a balance between the two and I often go back and forth. Someday I hope to get over my fear of learning to paint, because I just may find an all new love.

I'm also torn between realism and illustration and can't seem to land on just one style. Sometimes my work is silly, little rats dressed in fun outfits, and sometimes it's girls in a more pop surrealism feel. Which ever you prefer, hopefully my work strikes a chord with you.

I'm absolutely obsessed with pet rats and love them so much, that I even started a magazine in honor of them! So if you too are a rat lover, make sure to check out It's a Rat's World magazine. You can't spell "art" without the word "rat"!
