Announcement   Embroidery Hoop, Textile and Button Art

Welcome to my Studio! My name is Brandy Cupcakes, and I love to sew and embroider using as many vintage and thrifted components as I can. I have a deep appreciation for traditional fiber arts/techniques and a fondness for modern interpretation. My work is inspired by the conundrum of trying to make a modern life work when you feel like you were born in the wrong century. I love simple designs and upcycling.

Everything in my shop is made by me, in my smoke free, but not kitty free home. Please feel free to browse around and should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Thanks so much for visiting me today!

About

Unique Art For Those With Eclectic Tastes

My name is Brandy Cupcakes, and I am the designer, maker and artist behind Brandy Cupcakes Studio.

I am a hand stitcher. Everything I create takes way more time to make than is probably practical, but it is the only way for me. My fingerprints are all over every piece. Each piece is unique and imbued with a specific set of thoughts from my mind and feelings from my spirit that I meditate on as I stitch. I try to stitch positive energy into each object I make, because dang it, there's so much crazy, sad, negative stuff going on in the world, and sometimes this is the only way I can deal with all that mess.

I don't make these pieces as a way to make a quick buck, but because I am absolutely compelled to. I have always been a magnet for the underdogs and the unwanted, and most of my pieces feature elements that are vintage and/or thrifted and/or up cycled. I try to be as responsible as I can when choosing materials. Everything I come across in life is a potential element for a future piece, whether physically or spiritually. These pieces are meant to tell a story, if only you have eyes to see and a heart to listen.

Hello, and welcome to my studio! I hope you'll poke around for awhile and maybe find something that entertains, amuses, inspires or sparks you. All handmade items are made by me in my smoke free but not kitty free home.

Accepted payment methods

Payment
Payment is expected and appreciated right away. We accept Paypal only, at this time. You do not need a Paypal account to utilize its services, just a credit or debit card. If you see something and would like us to hold it for you until you have the payment, shoot us a convo and we will gladly put the listing on reserved status for you, a.s.a.p. :)

Iowans, you will be charged sales tax. It sucks, we know, but that's the way goes...*sadface*
Shipping
We ship to your paypal shipping address. If you live in the Lee County, Iowa area, local pickup is definitely a shipping option. Just shoot us a convo beforehand and we will take the shipping chargers off of your listing for you.

We like to recycle boxes and shipping packages, so the packaging your item arrives in may be larger or different than what you are expecting...;) We ship USPS First Class Mail or Priority Mail, with tracking and signature confirmation and we only ship to the United States and Canada at this time.

We will try to ship as soon as possible, but please realize that sometimes life gets in the way of our plans and we may not always find a package shipped within the first 24 hours. We hope you can understand. We will notify you when your package has shipped, so you aren't left out in the dark wondering. :)

We are not currently offering international shipping to anywhere other than Canada, as we need to do a little more research before we feel comfortable participating in that. We will not be responsible for any extra taxes or duties your country charges you for receiving an international package. All extra taxes or charges will be the buyer's responsibility.
Refunds and Exchanges
Any other items which may pop up in the shop, including vintage items, wooden creatures and jewelry ARE eligible for return, IF you notify us immediately stating your intent to return, and you have the package postmarked within THREE business days(postal business days). Refunds will only be given if these conditions are met, and the item arrives in our studio in the exact same condition in which it left. Shipping will not be refunded. In the event you decide to make a return, I would highly suggest you include delivery confirmation on your package, so you can track its movement. If it should fail to make it back to us, we unfortunately cannot issue your refund.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please remember that computer monitors display colors differently from one another, so the item you order may seem to be a slightly different shade when it arrives at your doorstep.

Vintage items are at the minimum, 20 years old, which means they have had many exciting travels before they arrive at your door. Vintage items should be expected to have small flaws, such as pin holes or a few wonky stitches, and possibly be a little bit more fragile than new items. We will always do our very best to point out any flaws that our vintage items may have, but know that we are only human, and every once in a while something minute may escape our attention.

Also, we are very proud of the fact that we do not sell prints or mass produced copies-we sell original artworks only. It makes it very hard to part with our pieces here in our little shop, sometimes, but it also means the piece YOU get, will be extra special! That being said, please keep in mind that sometimes handmade items contain character traits which some people might view as "flaws"- an imperfect stitch, a slight smudge or crease on a piece of paper for example. These should not be seen as detractions from a piece's value, but rather, part of what makes them so special. They are, you see, the marks of human interactions...
