5 out of 5 starsHow I love these well-crafted gloves from the yarn used, the floral design and the Kelly green trim. Gorgeous and warm! Thank you, Brenda! I am a repeat client of Brenda’s. I have the chic berets in black—- I wear them in Fall and Winter and have received many compliments. And now these lovely gloves…..***LOVE***

This is where I cut and sew all of my garments. So far, I'm a one woman operation.

These are garments waiting to be cut and sewn.
Maker of fabulous garments from re purposed clothing.
My love affair with creating garments began as a child desperate to make pretty outfits for my doll. My parents couldn't afford to buy them from the store so I guess my first association with upcycling started with my using old pillowcases and fabric scraps from my grandmothers sewing projects. Drawing and painting were my other two loves.
It was in my high school freshman home economics class that I first learned to thread a sewing machine. After completing my first apron I was hooked. The limited funds of my family combined with my extra long, hard to fit arms and legs fed the urge in me to to sew all of my garments throughout high school. Adding extra odd pieces to things I found in thrift stores or to correct sewing mistakes was the norm for me as I experimented along. I majored in art in high school and in college for the love of it but I pursued sewing as a utilitarian necessity.
Later in life I worked as a custom dressmaker based in the center of my home while keeping an eye on our bustling family of four girls and four boys. Consuming countless sewing books and creating whatever my clients wanted stretched my sewing skills and abilities. Eventually though, it was my love for artistic expression and creativity that caused me to break out of the traditional mode of sewing.
The freedom to play with colors and textures and the joy of discovery in combining old with new is at the heart of my present pursuit. My former life as a custom dressmaker and my life long love affair with all things art and fiber have brought me to this new creative place of free-style sewing. My Etsy shop is a way for me to share what I love to create with the world!

Custom and personalized orders
Because of the one-of-a-kind nature of my items, I do not accept custom orders. I enjoy the freedom of creating by inspiration and I use whatever items are available to me.
Sizing details
I include the garment measurements on each listing. You should compare that information to a similar well fitting garment you already own. The sizing is 'general' (Small to 3X) with most garments being made of knit fabrics with some 'give'. Feel free to email me to inquire about fit if you're uncertain.
Wholesale availability
I do not offer items for wholesale.
Care instructions
Care instructions are included in the listings and are also sewn into the items offered for sale except for the fingerless gloves, which are to be hand washed, cold water and laid flat to dry.
