Briary River Woodworks started out as a Custom cabinet shop. Attention to detail and quality craftsmanship were paramount. But building cabinets in a small town is sporadic and we had to get other jobs. Eventually having full time jobs and trying to meet the demands of cabinet making became to much so we mostly shut down the cabinet making. This venture started out when we got a new boat and could not find a paddle of high enough quality to go in our boat. It may have been a used beat up boat but if something made of wood as going in it, it had to be well made. After a fairly exhaustive search we decided to make our own. Bucky had been making them when he needed one and was very good at it. We liked them so much that we decided that others may want them too and started making them for sell. For years we had made our cook paddles and figured we could sell them too. Eventually someone asked for kitchen ware and cutting boards, and what we make continues to grow. Now we have sold paddles, cutting boards and cookware all over the eastern seaboard from North Carolina to Louisiana, and some as far west as California. It has been an amazing couple of years. We take great pride in our work and guarantee it. If for any reason you are not satisfied we would be more than happy to find a way to fix it.
