Tras 20 años de docencia, tuve la oportunidad de trabajar con estudiantes neurodiversos. Con el tiempo, y mediante conversaciones con colegas, nos dimos cuenta de que queríamos crear experiencias de aprendizaje prácticas, atractivas y adaptables a cada niño. Así fue como las cajas de tareas cobraron importancia.
Las cajas de tareas son divertidas, interactivas y están diseñadas con un piso bajo y un techo alto, para que cada estudiante pueda acceder a la actividad a su propio nivel y seguir desafiándose a medida que crece. Cada caja tiene múltiples usos, ofreciendo diferentes maneras de practicar habilidades y reforzar el aprendizaje.
También son increíblemente prácticos: los auxiliares docentes pueden usarlos fácilmente, y las actividades se vinculan fácilmente con los objetivos del IEP de los niños. Con los años, las cajas de tareas se han convertido en un pilar fundamental de nuestro enfoque, haciendo que el aprendizaje sea tangible, motivador y accesible para todos los estudiantes.
After 20 years of teaching, I was given the opportunity to work with students who are neurodiverse. Over time, and through discussions with colleagues, we realised we wanted to create learning experiences that were hands-on, engaging, and adaptable for every child. That’s how task boxes came into focus.
Task boxes are fun, interactive, and designed with a low floor and high ceiling, so every student can access the activity at their own level and still be challenged as they grow. Each box has multiple uses, offering different ways to practice skills and reinforce learning.
They’re also incredibly practical: teaching aides can just pick them up and go, and the activities link easily to children’s IEP goals. Over the years, task boxes have become a cornerstone of our approach, making learning tangible, motivating, and accessible for all students.
