I had been afraid my son of four-years-old may have outgrown this kind of thing, but I was very wrong! He loved it so much when it arrived that he wanted to re-live discovering it numerous times - he put it back in the packaging to pretend to collect it from the box over and over, reading it in between. He snuggles with it, giggles when he pokes his fingers into the crocodile's mouth, and asks for it often. He loves it, and I love to see him so enchanted by something so wonderful and good.

We were so delighted by the way you made this embroidery! You should have seen our faces light up - so far above expectations. Magnificently skillful and thoughtful. Thank-you sincerely, sincerely, sincerely.

About

Making makes me happy.

Driven by my own need to make something, every day.

I work in a little white studio in my backyard surrounded by trays of book words, cocoons, bird skulls, feathers, tiny bottles, pieces of garnet, leaves, wings, chunks of beeswax, vintage embroideries and measuring tapes. I make pieces with paper and fabric ~ hand-stitching, poem-forming and sculpting from unusual materials.
