About

It starts with two sticks and some string.

I started knitting years ago when my oldest child was just two. There was something so very wonderful and satisfying about combining simple elements of yarn and stitches into something tangible to clothe my babe in. A hat. A sweater. A tiny pair of socks.

As these things happen, time passes and children grow. And somehow multiply! My husband and I now have three amazing people to raise and nurture. I still enjoy the process of knitting for my children as much now as I did then.

On any given day, you can find me running about with the littles in my life. We wake and I toss a load of clothes into the wash. We eat and I toss them to the dryer. We play and the laundry sits and wrinkles. I sketch out some ideas, photograph a few products or I write a few things down because goodness knows, I will forget! My children and I sit and create things together. I find they have wonderful ideas and are eager helpers. When the house quiets for the day, it's time to break out the knitting and work on a little project.

Sometimes it's a hook and some string that inspire me. Paint and a brush. Wire and beads. Pen and ink. Clay. Glue. Fabric. Found objects. I am often drawn to trying new and interesting things. I enjoy the mental task of learning and mastering something new. While I return again and again to the muscle memory and soothing rows of knitting, I will occasionally meander outside these lines. When I do, these items may be found here also.

All products in my job shop are hand crafted and photographed by myself. All of my models are my family: my children, my husband and myself. I hope you enjoy these little items as much as I enjoy creating them.
