About

For me, soap is a way to communicate with the world.

I learned about cold process soap making when I had the opportunity to observe and participate in an apprenticeship with a long established soap maker in New England.

Soap making is, to me, a form of expression and a way to communicate and share something that I love with the world.

The process gives me a quiet moment to create and work with the world of scent (one of my primary loves). I adore working with fragrances, essential oils, and raw materials such as clays, butters, and colorants to evoke a feeling while creating a common product that is used to transport the individual into their own private sanctuary - the cleansing and renewal of self.

Soap is a simple and inexpensive way to create time and space for yourself - through the creation and use.

I make my products in my studio in New Hampshire nestled near the lakes region of the White Mountains in New England.

My soap is free of palm oil and animal fats. I focus on using butters and waxes from natural plants. I love to use other natural ingredients such as herbs, flowers, clays, and essential oils when possible. I do also love to play with fragrance and color - all of which are safe for use in soap and bath products and selected and used with care. I do not create items that I myself would not use or let my family use.

My greatest joy is the exploration of scent and the mood it creates. I love to foray into the territories of both the natural and synthetic worlds both ends of which can help to build complexity or reduce an essence to simplicity.

Each product is inspired or created with care and joy and shared with you as a simple way to take time out and pamper yourself, relax, and feel renewed.

I have been featured on local television (New Hampshire Chronicle), WellWed Magazine, New Hampshire Magazine, and on the Soap Queen Blog but what gives me the greatest joy is the simple person to person interactions that I get to experience from my many loyal and happy customers and I hope you will be one of them!
