I am from the Himalayas in Nepal. This is my family business. We started this business back in the '70s. We opened our first store in Thamel, Kathmandu Nepal in 1978 (www.beadncrafts.com). Back in the days, traders from all over Nepal and other neighboring countries (Burma, Tibet, Afghanistan, Srilanka, Bhutan, India, China) use to come to our store to buy and sell beads and Antiques. We kept on buying whatever came to our store. The products that came through were mostly genuine.
A magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck Nepal on April 25, 2015. Our store building was badly affected, we had to close our store. Most of the collectibles in our Etsy store were collected within these past 42 years and are the survivors of that devastating earthquake.
I am fortunate to be a part of our family business and have learned to admire each piece that has a history of its own. One of the things that I have learned in this business is the importance of goodwill. We are always willing to provide reliable services to our customers, and we believe in customer satisfaction.
We deal with Antique crafts including both metal and wooden. We have a variety in a collection of old Tibetan rare beads such as Dzi, Chung dZi, Etched Carnelians, Coral, Turquoise, Amber, etc. These beads are dated from 2500BC to 500AD.
We also deal with Silver Jewelry, Gemstones, Rocks and Minerals from around the world.
