How soon can you ship my order?
Our goal is to cut and ship your order as fast as possible. We don't want you to wait longer than needed for our products, so we strive to ship your order within 1-3 days, Monday through Friday.
How do I hang my letters?
For SMALL TO MEDIUM SIZED LETTERS:
- Double sided foam mounting tape works great.
- Hot gluing ribbon to the back and then hang it on a nail.
- You can use dots of hot glue on the back of the letter and adhere it directly to the surface you are hanging it on.
- Place finishing nails into the wall in a pattern that the letter can hang on.
- Spray Adhesive can be used if damage to the wall's finish is a concern.
LARGER LETTERS:
- Liquid nails works well if you want to permanently attach it to a surface.
- Sawtooth hanging hardware that can be found at any local hardware store, is good for limited damage to a wall.
- Double sided foam mounting tape is very strong.
How are the metal panels installed?
Installation methods vary depending on your project. Panels can typically be mounted using screws, construction adhesive, framing, clips, or other methods appropriate for the application. Hardware is generally not included unless specifically stated in the listing.
How do I paint my metal panel or garden column?
Our raw metal products are shipped unfinished, allowing you to apply the finish of your choice. If you prefer, I also offer a professional painting service for an additional cost.
If you choose to paint the item yourself, we recommend the following steps for the best results:
1. Clean the metal thoroughly with a grease remover or denatured alcohol to remove any oils, dust, or residue.
2. Lightly scuff the surface with a fine abrasive pad or 220–320 grit sandpaper, if needed, to promote primer adhesion.
3. Apply a high-quality metal primer according to the manufacturer's instructions.
4. Once the primer has fully cured, apply two or more light coats of your chosen paint, allowing adequate drying time between coats.
How can I create a natural rusted finish on my raw steel garden column or panel?
Raw steel will naturally develop a rusted patina when exposed to the weather. If you'd like to accelerate the process, you can lightly mist the surface with a mixture of white vinegar and water, allow it to dry, and repeat as needed. Keeping the steel outdoors where it is exposed to moisture and air will also speed up the natural patina.
Once the desired appearance is achieved, you may leave the finish to continue aging naturally or apply a clear matte exterior sealer to help preserve the look and reduce further rust developement.
