We adopted Rogie and Rosie in 2018. 2 weeks after we brought them home, Rogie was hospitalized for a urinary blockage. Having recently lost our other two cats, Bunny and Sorin, we weren't expecting such large vet bills so quickly. We also weren't expecting him to continue to block 4 more times, require a very invasive and specialized surgery to prevent blockages, and block 2 more times AFTER surgery. He has chronic UTIs now. He also broke his leg badly damaging his wrist, requiring amputation. Rosie had a stroke and lost partial nerve function in her back legs and tail. She has also begun to show urinary issues. I started making blankets for friends and family to offset some of the costs, and things have been rolling from there!
