We received our custom knife rack and are thrilled with Don's work. It is a piece of art from a very talented craftsman. We couldn't be happier, thank you Don!

Shop policies

My goal is to give shoppers the option of buying functional items that are always creative and eye pleasing, if not artistic and beautiful, sometimes whimsical, and often unexpected for the location of use. The woods themselves are the greater part of inspiration and message.

I use no stains or dyes; hand sanding (to 400 grit, sometimes finer) clarifies the grain and frees the light that seems to live in some woods. I use Tung oil and Renaissance wax for a hard, durable but natural feeling finish.

I put every effort toward producing photographs of my products that faithfully represent them as they are when photographed. The appearance of all woods, some more than others, however, changes with the direction, source and quality of light. Also, different computer monitors and screens can display the same color differently. If you have questions regarding how a piece might fit in your décor, please contact me before purchasing. Also, as some stainless steel does not respond to magnetism be sure your knives do before purchasing.

Additional policies and FAQs
Regular dusting with a micro fiber cloth is suggested. If necessary, wipe clean with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately.

Knives should always be clean and dry before putting them away.

All woods change color; they mellow, with age , air and sunlight.
