About

Individualistic Apparel

This shop is inspired by my passion for aesthetics and fascination with beauty- a quality that I believe can be found in any and everything. Vintage materials have such potential to create beautiful wearables. These goods are enhanced into fashionable and re-modernized clothing and accessories, while incorporating the item's original vintage and authentic character.

My items are unique, "against the grain." The goal of each product is to let what you wear tell the story of who you are. You are different; you are an individual, so show it by letting your body be a canvas!

I grew up as that "weird girl" throughout grade school, due to how I decorated my appearance with hair dye, piercings, and most importantly- attire. I find clothing and accessories to be a very valuable outlet for self expression.

Burntout Barbie came to exist once I realized that I can't identify with one set style or group, and you shouldn't have to either. The name of this shop represents the juxtaposition of labels, using two opposing trends, the "burnt-outs" and the "barbies". One day we may appear to resemble a barbie, wearing all pink and donning preppy accessories. The next, we may wear all dark colors, complementing the burnt-out grunge style.

Remember, labels are for soup cans. WE are individuals!
