Announcement   I AM DONATING 20% OF ALL SALES OF MY CURRENT STOCK TO WOMENS AID FROM NOW UNTIL MIDNIGHT ON SATURDAY 7TH JULY.

New bags are appearing in the shop now, so do be sure to look at any updates if you want any fresh seasonal project bags for your Summer knitting! Previews are posted on Instagram @busypottering, so follow me if you want to see what will be in the shop soon!

Thank you for browsing in my shop. I hope you find something you like. I aim to add new items regularly so be sure to pop in again soon!

I'm @busypottering on Instagram and I post photos of my latest makes over there if you want to follow me and see previews of my shop updates!

Single small zippered project bags and project rolls will be sent as a 1st Class Large Letter within the UK to save you money on shipping costs! Two bags / project rolls or more will be shipped as a 2nd Class Small Parcel. You may choose to upgrade to 1st Class post if you wish.

The actual cost of shipping abroad may be less than estimated due to the weight or thickness of the various fabrics, interfacings or wadding used when I make my project bags. I will always refund the difference to you as I won't profit on postage!

I wrap all my bags in tissue paper and any treats included with your purchase are in a reusable pretty paper bag, which coordinates with the tissue wrapping.

I use grey biodegradable posting bags, which will decompose and are consequently better for the environment than regular postal bags.

About

Always a busy bee.

I come from a family of needlewomen, and I have been busy making ever since I was a little girl when my mum taught me to knit. I still have a tablecloth that I embroidered with my Grandma when I stayed with her in the school holidays!

I enjoyed making my own clothes and shirts for my husband when there seemed to be fabric shops in every town. When my children were small I made clothes and knitted jumpers and cardigans for them, and then a career got in the way and creativity went by the wayside!

I became a born again knitter in 2010, in an attempt to stop myself working all evening, every evening, and found it so relaxing. That was when I started to think long term and I began to collect yarn and fabric! I was fortunate enough to be able to finish work in 2014, and I treated myself to a swish new sewing machine. I've loved spending time knitting and sewing since then, and even taught myself to crochet! When I'm not sewing or knitting I love to bake and experiment with recipes such a Rhubarb and Ginger Gin!

There is a limit however, to the number of quilts, cushions, blankets, bags and project bags that I, my family and friends can use, and consequently I have been persuaded to open an Etsy shop so here I am!

I hope you like my makes. I will only sell something that I would be happy to use myself or give as a gift. I have lots of ideas for the future so please stop by and browse.

If you would like something you don't see in my shop, then please contact me, as I may have just the fabric on my shelves!

I use only good quality fabrics, threads and interfacing, and everything in my shop is made with love and care in my new sewing room in my smoke free home. I do however have two cats who pop in every now and then to see what I'm up to!

Within the UK I will post a single small zippered bag as a 1st Class large letter to save your postage costs. Two or more bags will be sent at the standard 2nd Class small parcel rate, and any additional items will be sent at no extra cost. You may choose to upgrade your parcel to 1st Class if you wish.

All my orders are wrapped with care and a little surprise so that you enjoy receiving your parcel.

I will happily post overseas and use Royal Mail International Standard rates for Europe and for Everywhere Else. Details of these costs are listed with each item. If you would like your order shipped by the Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed For service, please contact me for details of these charges before ordering.

I always obtain proof of posting when your parcel is sent.

The actual cost of shipping may be less than estimated due to the weight or thickness of the various fabrics, interfacings or wadding used when I make my project bags. I will always refund the difference to you, less the cost of the postal bag.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story.

Looking forward to a creative future!

Annie Bee
