About

My Story

I started down the crafty road at the tender age of six -- both of my grandmother's tried to teach me a craft -- Grandma G tried crochet and Grams tried needlepoint. WELL needlepoint won out and I did needlepoint for several years. I learned to sew at 7 on my mom's Singer Athena -- made my Campfire Vest for my first bead in Adventure! I took semi private sewing lessons during the summers between 6th grade and 9th grade and of course, home ec in jr high and sewing in sr high. I was told at the midpoint of my sophomore year by my sewing teacher that I needed to pick another elective, because I was already doing what the seniors were doing for graduation projects, and she couldn't teach me anymore! So I switched over to AP art for the next 2 years and I ended up attending the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. Over the years, between 6/7 and now I learned how to various other crafts -- always keeping busy and always learning new techniques and crafts.

I sew, knit, crochet, embroider, weave (I have 5 looms!), tablet weave, make bobbin lace, counted cross stitch, rug hook, Swedish weave, punch needle, make dolls, quilt... my husband says that it is far easier to ask me what I don't do, than what I do! Making hand crafted items makes me happy and fulfills my need to create! It either keeps me IN or OUT of trouble -- depending on how you look at it!

    Owner, Creator, Photographer

I have been crafting and creating since I was 6 - 40+ years! I am always working on something, and can't seem to go anywhere without my crafting bag! I am a stay at home mom, creating wonderful, unique items, with dreams of a country life.

Shipper, Chief Bottle Washer, Support System

I've known Karen since our World History class in the fall of 1982, and though it took twenty-one years, married her. Over the past decade I've been taught to stitch, sew and quilt, make soap, paint and weave, even join our local Weavers Guild.

  • Avery-Bean

    Assistant, Shipper

He is my #1 assistant! He helps with painting and he helps Papa run the packages to the Post Office. He personally must put each box in the drop off box! He hugs each item that I create before they are shipped -- so they truly are filled with love!

  • Rosie Rose

    Supervisor Pup

Here is our supervisory pup Rosie Rose! She is a rescue pup -- not sure exactly what she is -- but she is a wonderful girl and a great crafting companion. She makes very sure the bed or couch stays put where they are! No floating furniture!
