Handmade Candles from your local college student!

Hello! My name is Ciaran, and I am the person behind C.C. Candles! I am currently a sophomore in college studying Chemistry. While chemistry is my true calling, I do love to make some candles!

I have been making candles for quite some time now. I started when I was really young because my mom thought that it would be a fun bonding time, which it was. We started by just making pillar candles out of crayons, and then moved onto real wax. It really got me interested in candle making and even gave me great ideas for presents! After a while, we stopped making candles together because my mom got busy with work and I got busy with school. I was attending a STEM school and I didn't really have time for much else.

That is, until Christmas of 2016. This was the year that I decided to make everyone a Christmas present instead of worrying about buying them. You see, I had recently gotten my first job and was finally starting to understand that holidays are expensive. So, I bought a five pound bag of soy wax and some containers and went to town! I had so much fun making them, that I decided that I don't want to stop. I can make each candle personal to the person that I am giving them to and make people happy year round with their presents. It was a win-win!

Then, I moved on to college. I kind of stopped making candles for a little bit because being a college student is expensive and I couldn't afford materials. I have two part time jobs and they just barely cover my necessities. But when I came home for break, I decided to give it a go again with what I had. It was so relaxing and stress relieving that I knew I couldn't give it up again. But there was still one problem, I still couldn't afford the materials! So, I did what any broke college student would do, I started to sell them. Just to friends and family at first, but soon the word was spreading around campus that there was someone making and selling candles. So, I had to upgrade to a site where I could make more and sell more instead of just selling a few here and there by word of mouth. And so, here I am!

Thank you so much for checking out my little shop, and if you've made it this far, try using code 'COLLEGE' for 10% off your first order of my premium handmade soy wax candles! I promise you will love what you get!
