Announcement   Hello and welcome to my shop, I am so glad you stopped by! Here you will find skin and hair care products made with natural and organic ingredients. I do not use any artificial colorants or fragrances in my skin and hair care products. Soap-in-A-Pouch soaps are colored with natural colorants such as carrot puree, spirulina and herbs and scented with essential oils.

Life is very precious and I am thankful and grateful for the blessings in my life. I live in the country in Westfield, Maine with my husband amongst the deer, moose and black bear. I have five wonderful children who are all grown and live away and I have a wonderful daughter-in-law who is expecting my first grandson. I also have two precious granddaughters. I create all my products right in my home. I have a vision and dream of one day building a workshop next to my home that has an area for selling my products too.

My recipes are my own, I have so much fun creating new recipes and coming up with names for them. I create products that are safe and gentle for your skin and the environment. My products are made with natural ingredients that improve the health and integrity of your skin. I buy my ingredients for my products from reputable dealers that have high standards for the quality of their natural products.

Sewing is also one of my passions, I make all of my pouches for my soaps. These pouches can be used for many other purposes after housing your soaps. Use them in lieu of gift wrapping for small items or to hold coins in your purse.

Making natural bath and body products has been a a lifelong passion for me. I actually started making natural beauty products when I was a teenager in my mother's kitchen. I used to have fun staying up until the wee hours of the morning mixing different kinds of concoctions from my parents refrigerator for my hair and skin.

Excellent customer service with a personable experience is priority for my shop, I listen to my customers requests and make custom orders for them if they so desire. Always feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

Soap-in-a-Pouch soaps are made with high quality oils and butters which make them gentle enough for sensitive skin. I also make high quality skin moisturizers and butters that are made from all natural ingredients. It is my pleasure to serve you! Check back frequently since I am consistently creating something new to add to my shop.
Have a wonderful day!

Many Blessings to you!

About

Soap-in-A-Pouch

Life is a beautiful gift and should be lived to the fullest every day of the week. Carrie is a person who loves to make people smile, wipe tears away and bring a positive vibe to everyone around her. She is wife, mother and grandmother who loves making soap. Her sister Donna actually told her about Etsy a couple of years before she opened her shop. Donna kept encouraging her to open a shop and one day she finally decided to do so and she is so happy she did. Etsy is a wonderful community of sellers and shoppers who have taught Carrie so much and she continues to learn new ways to provide excellent customer service for her customers.

Soap-in-A-Pouch got its unique name because Carrie makes unique pouches for her soaps. She is also a seamstress and loves to collect beautiful cotton fabric for her pouches. The pouches can be used for many different uses after the soap is removed. Carrie’s work is inspired by nature. She has always been very health conscious since she was a young girl – being very careful about what she ate and used on her body.

Carrie used to make natural beauty products as a young girl in her mother’s kitchen, now she enjoys making soap and body products in her own kitchen. Despite her best efforts at healthy living, in 2013 Carrie developed breast cancer. After successfully winning the battle, Carrie decided to go on a raw diet and became even more conscious about what she ate and used on her body. She decided to stop using commercial deodorants, lotions and facial moisturizers and began to make her own body which are very effective. Now she sells these products in her shop for people who strive to use natural products on their skin.

Carrie’s work space is in her kitchen and a bedroom which she converted into a studio. She carefully chooses high quality natural oils, butters and other natural resources for her products that are good and nourishing for your skin. Natural resources such as carrots, pumpkin, spirulina and others are used for colorants in her soaps. Certain herbs and spices are also infused in oils and used as colorants. Only essential oils are used as scents. Many of her soaps are scent-free and color free, leaving only the natural goodness of the product to cleanse and condition your skin. All of Soap-in-A-Pouch soaps leave your skin feeling clean, comfortable and conditioned and are great for sensitive skin. Carrie is continually developing natural soap and skin products that are effective and good for your skin and the environment.

Carrie is originally from Queens, NY but now lives in the country in Westfield, Maine with her husband and cat in beautiful Westfield, Maine. She always wanted to live in the country when she was a child and managed to find her way to Maine as an adult. Carrie and her husband grow a garden every year which includes vegetables, fruits and herbs. She uses some of the herbs from their garden in her soaps as colorants and scents.

Carrie's sister Donna is one of the most giving and thoughtful person she knows. Donna and her friends have knitted many beautiful handmade washcloths for Carrie to give customers as free gifts while supplies last. They are made from 100% cotton yarn and work wonderful with handmade soap. Carrie also knits washcloths herself which are for sale in her shop as individual washcloths or as part of a gift basket.

Thank you for visiting and stop by again!

Blessings to you!

Carrie
