If stored correctly, a “little” bar goes a LOOOONG way!
Black Soap is not hard like traditional soap, but rather quite pliable (in fact, you can break up your bar into many pieces and mold it into any shape you’d like!). Because it is soft and dissolves in water easily, the soap should be left to dry when not in use, preferably in a slotted soap dish or open shower caddy, where it can drip dry. It cannot sit in standing water, or it will absorb the water and dissolve more quickly. Because this soap is much softer than commercial soap, it comes off the bar more easily, so less rubbing of the bar is needed to release enough soap. When you start another bar, just push the old soap sliver onto the new piece and the two will easily unite; leaving no waste. NOTE: If you notice white spots or a white film appearing on the bar, this is from being exposed to the air. This is NOT mold, or a sign of your soap decomposing! It is caused by absorption of water from the air. This can be avoided by keeping the soap in a dry location, away from moisture until ready for use.

Due to the softness and pliability of the bars, the shipping process may affect the shape of your bar. Do not worry, it doesn't affect the end result!
