It took a little while to arrive, but it was well worth the wait: absolutely beautiful piece--simple, colorful, classy, well-made and a great value. Would definitely buy again...

About

Capturing joy and light, one glass piece at a time...

Captured Light Stained Glass Studio is a culmination of years of hard work, (a rather sizable amount of) blood, sweat and tears. We design and create pieces mostly from scratch. Most pieces are conceived and patterns drawn from a CAD program called "Glass Eye". Others are simply inspiration from nature, books, or even sometimes ordered chaos.

We also take great pride in purchasing the vast majority of supplies and glass from US sources. We buy glass from Wissmach Glass Company (a 2 hr drive from the shop). Will hopefully get some pics to share on our next treasure hunt, which for us is always an adventure!

Stained glass is one of the few handcrafts that has truly stood the test of time. From the ancient cathedrals to modern art, the medium is mostly durable and will not fade, rot, fray or otherwise disintegrate like most other handcrafted items. It is suprisingly easy to work with. We take great joy in sharing our talents with the world, and teaching others how to design and fabricate some of their own creations that will last a lifetime.

We hope you enjoy our pieces as much as we do. Feel free to convo us with any questions, or check out our blog at capturedlightsgs.blogspot.com.

Thank you for viewing our store! All of our items are pieced together, cut, fitted, soldered and waxed to shining perfection! They are sure to brighten a window and bring loads of color to an otherwise boring light source. Stained glass is calming, mesmerizing and adds curb appeal to your home. We do custom work too! Please feel free to ask questions about different items you might have in mind if you don't see anything that fits your needs already listed.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
Payment is expected at the time of purchase and accepted through Paypal and/or Etsy Direct checkout. Items purchased and not paid for within 48 hours will need to be cancelled and relisted.
Shipping
Because of the delicate nature of glass, we go to great lengths to protect your items during the shipping process. All items are shipped TRIPLE boxed, a softer foam to cradle your item and restrict movement, a thick rigid foam for protection and then a custom made box surrounding everything. We charge exact shipping plus anywhere from $2 to $12 depending on the size of your item purchased for packaging supplies thus stated above and custom boxing.

Each item is also shipped with insurance and delivery confirmation. For ready made items, We do our best to ship the item within two to three business days upon receipt of payment. If it's any longer, we will notify you of what's happening and why. Custom order usually hip within 4-6 weeks and are quoted with expected delivery date, based upon work load at the time, and size of the project.

Shipping overseas costs can be vastly varied. For this reason, we don't have set prices listed for overseas buyers. But if you're overseas and still interested in purchasing an item, please shoot us a message and we will do our best to get you an accurate quote.
Refunds and Exchanges
Should the unthinkable happen and your item gets damaged or lost, we will gladly refund the item within 3 days of receipt, or discuss other alternatives (repairing or remaking). If you are not 100% satisfied with your item, please let us know why and we will reimburse your cost (less shipping) once item is returned. All items are shipped with insurance and delivery confirmation with tracking capabilities. We are highly confident in our method of packing.
Additional policies and FAQs
If you have a previously purchased item from another vendor and it has become damaged we will look at it and consider repair work, especially if it has sentimental value to you. Please message us, we will be more than happy to provide you with a quote for repairs.
