Welcome to C Star Studio!

Making jewelry is, for me, an activity where time stops. I think it is important for everyone to have something like this and I am so grateful that I have found it.

I love to be surrounded by, and create beauty. I enjoy showcasing the undiscovered uniqueness of everyday items in my work, like stones, shells or coins.
Being environmentally friendly is important to me. I use almost exclusively vintage, natural, or re-purposed objects.
Currently I am loving antique glass and mother-of-pearl buttons. It started when a friend gave me her grandmother’s dusty, rusty button tin. I opened it up and was shocked at how beautiful those old buttons were.

The way I got into making jewelry is what I consider a miracle.
I was ready for a new job, mocked it up in my head, and then found it in a want ad on the back of a newspaper a few days later. I called, interviewed, and was hired.
My boss and mentor was an interesting world-traveler who collected antique jewelry and objects from remote areas. We either made or re-made them into jewelry.
In addition to what I learned in her studio, I took metal-smithing classes.

Fast forward several years and we have C Star Studio.
I hope that the passion I put into my pieces rubs off on you.

Since I use primarily vintage and natural objects (shell, beach glass, and stone, etc.), my jewelry is truly one-of-kind. Other pieces are hand-crafted by me. I find beauty in nature and time’s asymmetry.
