Cabochon Quarry was founded with the intent of sharing and showcasing the beauty and mystery within natural stone. In doing so, we discovered that fellow admirers and artisans were inspired by the vivid colors, intricate patterns and intense stories of creation told in the stones. We hope to be a part of your personal creation or collection, too.

When you purchase a piece of our hand worked creations, we do stand behind our work and will be happy to perform custom adjustments for you on stones.

Solo stones will arrive attached to a protective card or encased within a covered case. Either method, the stones will be attached by museum putty. This allows the stone to remain stationary and protected until you have a firm grip on the stone for removal and placement. The putty does not harm the stone and will peel away easily. If residue is evident, we recommend a warm mild soap bath to loosen remaining adhesive. Harsh chemicals such as alcohol or acetone are not recommended for cleaning agents.

Additional policies and FAQs
We are a trade friendly business that is familiar with the needs of designers and artisans. If a piece you purchase needs minor modifications, please contact us as soon as possible so we can accommodate your specifications. All of our work is a free-form style and is non-traditional in size, weight, and shape, but we can produce calibrated cabochons by request. We do accept and encourage custom orders, and we can usually satisfy them within 7-10 days, but you must contact us as soon as possible to ensure we have the material you most desire. We are interested in trading rough material pound for pound if you can speak to or are connected with the origin of the material.

About our photographs: We are not professional photographers, and we put our best effort into ensuring the stones you see via the monitor are what we see in person. This is a tricky process, as the colors in the the stones are brighter or softer in different lighting, and showcasing the high polish can sometimes be impossible through a lens. All stones are polished to a 50,000 or 100,000 diamond polish cycle and on suede or felt to ensure they achieve the best polish possible. We will describe each item as best as possible, but if you're curious about more details, please contact us to discuss.
