If I couldn't find humor within my disability, I would be a pretty bitter person, so I hope I don't offend anyone.
I grew up with Ostiogenesis Imperfecta and used a wheelchair for most of my childhood into high school. I think that given my physical limitations, it was only inevitable for me to crawl into books and art.
Mostly, I was the quiet, shy bookworm in high school until I started expressing myself through art. I think I also got some of my creativity from my grandma who made miniatures and decorated eggs in a faberge-esque style.
My first endeavors on Etsy were around 2011-2012 and I had some handmade earrings. My new breath of Etsy-entrepreneurship came after many life changes - a hip replacement at 27, an end to a long term relationship, and an end to a salaried position.
I am back on Etsy, with a new fervor to fuel my business. I hope you enjoy the vintage curios and original art I have to share with you!
