MY SERVICES
I offer both ready-made and custom-made calligraphy services.
READY-MADE CALLIGRAPHY
I create both one-of-a-kind original works and print works.
My original works are hand-written by me, using Japanese sumi ink and a traditional fude brush. They are stamped with my unique hand-carved seal as proof of originality and authenticity.
Print works are print versions of my original works.
CUSTOM-MADE CALLIGRAPHY
Is there a certain word or phrase in mind that you’d like to see written in Japanese calligraphy? I’ll look for a Japanese translation that accurately captures the meaning, tone, and nuance of your intended phrase. All translations are double-checked by a native Japanese speaker to guarantee that the final product accurately reflects your wishes.
I enjoy collaborating with my clients at every stage of the process, and am open and honest about my options and prices. My aim is to faithfully reproduce my clients’ wishes in order to create valued calligraphy works.
As proof of originality, all of my custom works are stamped with my unique hand-carved seal.

ABOUT ME
I studied Japanese calligraphy with an award-winning tutor while living in Yokohama, Japan. My work has been exhibited seven times in group shows at prominent art galleries in Japan, on one occasion receiving an honourable mention. Since returning to the U.K. I want to share this beautiful and traditional art with a Western audience.
