Hand poured soy candles with geeky and pop-culture themes

Calliope Candleworks creates high quality, hand-poured 100% soy wax candles with pop culture themes and incredible scents. We started this business in 2015 after several years of hobby candle making.

Also in 2015, we launched a Kickstarter (under our old name, Boonzy Arts) for our Wheel of Flame gaming candles, which was a huge success. Each WoF candle represents different realms seen in tabletop games. They feature beautiful labels designed by Wilson Swain, and inside each candle is a randomly placed metal die (D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20, or percentile) from Norse Foundry.

In addition to our themed candles, we have the Premium Line, which feature unconventional scents. Calliope Candleworks is also available to create custom candles for events.

Hello! We're Calliope Candleworks (formerly Boonzy Arts), and we make hand-poured soy candles in beautiful Los Angeles, CA. We have a wide range of styles, including pop-culture themed candles, premium scented candles, and tabletop gaming candles with embedded metal dice.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale

Returns and exchange details
We accept returns or exchanges for unused/undamaged candles, however the customer is responsible for paying for shipping both ways. If we make a mistake in your order, we will replace it right away.
We use the United States Postal Service to ship our products. If you are overcharged for shipping on Etsy (it happens sometimes--we can't seem to tame the demons that live in the shipping algorithm), we will refund you the difference. We know candle shipping is already expensive, and we don't want you to pay any more than you need to! You will receive a tracking number when you place an order.

International shipping: Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. We are not responsible for delays due to customs.

Once the package is dropped off at the post office the USPS is responsible for damages and shipping time. You can use your tracking number to inquire about the status of your package. Calliope Candleworks can not be held accountable for lost packages.

We primarily use USPS Priority for shipping, which includes shipping insurance. If your order arrives damaged, you must file a complaint with USPS to receive a refund for the purchase. Take photos of the broken candle(s) and file a claim on the USPS website. We're happy to help you if you are having trouble figuring out the process, just email lauren (at) calliopecandleworks (dot) com.

We cannot replace lost or stolen packages; you must contact the post office with your tracking number in this unfortunate event. If your package is returned to us due to a shipping error on your part (incorrect address, no apartment number, etc.) you will have to pay to have the package shipped back to you.
