Announcement   Inspired by the majesty of the living sea, artist Jamila Hammad explores texture and light in her multi-dimensional art. She employs a combination of fabrics, acrylic paints, beads, sequins, yarns and diverse embellishments to bring depth and light to each piece.

Jamila has exhibited her art on the island of St. Croix at venues such as Fort Frederik Museum, Maufé Gallery, Whim Plantation Museum, St. George Botanical Gardens, the Annual Caribbean Fine Art Exhibit at Good Hope School, and the annual shows sponsored by the Artists Guild of St. Croix. Her work also appeared in the 2013 Island Art and Soul Calendar and Book, published by the Caribbean Museum Center for the Arts, and on the cover of St. Croix This Week.
