Designed by Marc Lalique in 1948. These glasses are still being produced and sold today at $525 per stem.
Perfect for a wedding toast, anniversary, or house warming gift.
Priced far below current retail. These should appreciate in value over time.

About

Cambridge Nudes - A Great Collectible

The Cambridge Glass Company operated from early in the last century until the mid 1950's. During that time period, elegant glassware was very popular both for table usage and decoration. Cambridge was one of several American companies that were leaders in this category. Other elegant glass manufacturers included Fostoria, Fenton, Morgantown, Seneca Glass, Indiana Glass, Consoldated Glass, Tiffin, and more. Wikipedia has a nice article on America's Elegant Glass industry posted here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elegant_glass. There is also an article on the history of Cambridge Glass http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cambridge_Glass.

Several Cambridge Glass patterns have become collectors items including Rose Point, Caprice, Imperial Hunt Scene, Candlelight, and the Statuesque Nude Stems (line 3011). The nudes were first introduced in 1931.

Many of the nude stems were very inexpensive when first produced. They've gained considerably in value since then. Several glasses that originally sold for less than one dollar can easily bring more than $1,000 today. Most individual nudes are currently valued upwards of $100.

To learn more about Cambridge Glass click the shop blog links on the right side of this web page. You should check out the National Cambridge Collectors (NCC) website (http://www.cambridgeglass.org)

NCC's Crystal Ball Newsletter has published a number of articles on the nude stems over the years. Click the second shop blog link to bring up a search page. Search for 3011. That's the identifying number for the nude stem line. Your search will bring up past newsletter articles which discuss the nudes.

The Miami Valley Study Group's website contains photographs of many Cambridge items including the nudes. They've also posted some interesting and informative videos (http://albums.mvsg.org/index.php).

Shipping
Most of our shipments are via USPS Priority Mail insured. We really try to pack defensively so there won't be any breakage. But glass is fragile and rough handling during shipment can result in occasional damage. In the unlikely event of a problem, such as breakage, the customer should retain the packing materials to offer proof that the glass was well packed. Our shipping charges include insurance and signature confirmation for items over $250.

We will ship internationally to many countries. Please send us an email if you are interested in purchasing our item(s). We will give you a shipping quote for your country and let you know if we forsee any possible problems.
Refunds and Exchanges
Items may only be returned for a full refund if they are received not as described. Buyer remorse returns are subject to a 15% restocking charge.

You must contact us to explain the problem and obtain a return authorization before sending an item back to us. Returns must be initiated within 7 days after receipt of the item. Shipping charges are not refundable. Buyer pays for return shipping.

Cambridge glass items were hand made many years ago. There are going to be slight variations in measurements, color shade, and other variables. Such variations do not usually justify a return.
