About

Luxurious yarn. Abundant color.

Hi! I'm Angie...and I'm addicted to yarn. I've been crocheting since about age 9 and knitting since 2012. Admittedly, my favorite part of the process is getting lost in the colors and textures of the many fabulous yarns available in shops and stores. I learned to knit because I wanted to make socks, and my passion for fun, colorful sock yarn is still strong. I decided to start dyeing yarn in 2016 to enable my addiction a bit further.

I love my hometown of Winston-Salem, NC and have named my bases after local attractions and areas. Even my shop name - Camel City - is a nod to one of the city's historical nicknames.

My current bases are:
Fingering (Sock) Weight:
Ardmore - 70% baby alpaca, 20% silk, 10% cashmere, 3-ply, 437 yards per skein
Bethabara - 80% superwash BFL, 20% nylon; 400 yards
Piedmont - 100% superwash merino; 400 yards
Salem - 75% superwash merino, 25% nylon; 463 yards
Sterling - 75% superwash merino and 25% nylon; 463 yards
Trinity - 80% superwash merino, 10% cashmere, and 10% nylon; 435 yards

DK Weight:
Deacon - DK wieght 100% Superwash Merino, 231 yards per 100 grams.
