Announcement   Hello all!

My name is Hannah, and I live in a small town in the Chicago area. Currently I am studying Drama, hoping to become a costume designer. I am willing to knit just about anywhere. In fact, I got a job as a seamstress because a teacher noticed that I knit during his lectures.

I love being able to create the things I imagine and share them with other people. CandleOwl Knits is where I share my knitted wares, and recently my sister (also a creative soul) has started to share little things that she has sewn.

About

The Knit Quest

I am a college student who knits just about anywhere I go, from movie theaters, to my brother's wrestling meets to Classical Mythology class. I take my inspiration from old-fasioned U.K., as well as my own imagination. I create knitted wares that are both stylish and feature a taste of vintage.

I can often be discovered knitting to the accompaniment of a BBC Classic series, usually an adaptation of Jane Austen or Dickens. I am currently working toward a major in English and Theater.

I am also quite fond of reading a variety of genres. Some of my favorite boots include Ender's Game, The Book Thief, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and All Creatures Great and Small.

I am also very fond of the Sherlock Holmes stories. In honor of Holmes, I refer to myself as a "consulting knitter." Have you been dreaming of a knitted accessory that you just can't find on the market? I'd be delighted to take your case! One of the things I find most enjoyable about knitting is working with a person to make that item to their precise satisfaction! I love a challenge, unless that challenge involves sprinting headlong through a shadowed cavern while an enormous boulder rumbles along behind with crushing speed.

Don't go away! There's more!

CandleOwlKnits features a very special discount. If you so choose, with your purchase of any item $20 or over, I offer you a second item under $20 for free. Lots of my items are handily priced to accommodate this feature. You don't have to take me up on this. Good heavens, no! But I highly recommend it...

In my little shop I endeavor to bring you stylish hand-knitted wares with just a touch of vintage.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
Items sell for the listed price only, including shipping costs. Prices for unlisted custom items can be discussed via convo, using the prices of similar items in the Candle Owl shop as a ballpark figure. For example, a custom made hat would be priced as $20, like other hats in the shop.
Shipping
Each item is packaged securely in a lightweight shipping container. I will include my card with my contact information, as well as a receipt containing all the relevant information from the transaction. I ship first class via the USPS.
Refunds and Exchanges
If your item is not to your liking, you can return it to me within two weeks of receiving your purchase. I will work with you to repair or modify the item. Please send me a convo before sending the item back, describing the problem in detail (wrong size, wrong color, or, heaven forbid, wrong item all-together!)

If you want to return the item for a full refund, send me a convo as well before shipping the item back. I will ask you to pay for the return shipping, but pon receiving the item, I will reimburse you for the cost of the original transaction.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am very excited to share my creations with you! If you want a special item, custom order! I long to cater to your whims!
