CARLAND CARTOGRAPHY is committed to keeping any and all personal information of those individuals that visit our website and make use of our online facilities and services accurate, confidential, secure and private. Our privacy policy has been designed and created to ensure those affiliated with CARLAND CARTOGRAPHY of our commitment and realization of our obligation not only to meet but to exceed most existing privacy standards.

OUR ETSY SHOP

Our store is hosted using the platform called Etsy. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

If you purchase an item from our site, your data is stored through Etsy's data storage, databases and the general Etsy application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. CARLAND CARTOGRAPHY does have access to encrypted information that is essential and critical to your order and is only used to process your order accurately; including your name, email, billing address, and shipping address. CARLAND CARTOGRAPHY employees, staff, owners or volunteers do not have access to your full credit card account number. All transactions are processed through a secure PCI-DSS encrypted payment processing system. Your purchase transaction data is stored only to complete your purchase. After your purchase is complete, your credit card information is deleted. If you set up an account profile on our site, your credit card information may be stored for future purchases but the information is encrypted and not available to CARLAND CARTOGRAPHY. It is your right and obligation to keep the information saved in your profile up-to-date. CARLAND CARTOGRAPHY and Etsy cannot change or update any personal information in your account profile



OUR MAILING LIST

Our mailing list is voluntary, and consists of email updates about our products and services. We use Mailchimp as our email marketing platform. Our emails are all written by CARLAND CARTOGRAPHY and may contain links to other websites, coupon codes to use on our website and other news and updates about our schedule of events.

Our CARLAND CARTOGRAPHY mailing list registration form requires new account users to provide their contact information (name and email address) so we may send promotions and new information about our products. Your information may be added to our mailing list by one of several different ways. If you have entered your details for a chance to win a print at one of our artist markets, the information you provide will be added to our mailing list. If you register for an account or make a purchase through our website, the information you provide will be added to our mailing list. Also, if you have opted-in to our mailing list through an email link, a link on our website or through our social media accounts, the information you provide will be added to our mailing list.

CARLAND CARTOGRAPHY typically emails one newsletter per month with deals and coupons (not spam) and we will never, ever sell an email. In every email we send out, there is a 1-click unsubscribe button and any customer who does not wish to receive our newsletters can easily unsubscribe at any point. You may also change or modify general information previously provided for your account setup.

The dissemination of private information is not practiced at CARLAND CARTOGRAPHY and we will never buy, sell, or redistribute your information unless we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

CARLAND CARTOGRAPHY does not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen (13) without verifiable parental consent. If it is determined that such information has been inadvertently collected, we shall immediately take the necessary steps to ensure that such information is deleted from our mailing list.

THIRD PARTY SERVICES

Our Etsy shop may contain links to affiliate and other websites. CARLAND CARTOGRAPHY does not claim nor accept responsibility for any privacy policies, practices and/or procedures of other such websites. Therefore, we encourage all users and visitors to be aware when they leave our website and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. The aforementioned Privacy Policy Agreement applies only and solely to the information collected by www.etsy.com/shop/carlandcartography

COOKIES + IP ADDRESSES

Etsy uses cookies to manage your shopping cart. Cookies are small files on your computer that hold information. It allows us to recognize you and we only use cookies to remember your shopping cart contents. We do this to identify guests and account users who want to easily and readily access their shopping cart without having to reenter products at the beginning of each new page.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. We gather broad demographic and geographical information about our site users, to diagnose issues with our server, and prevent hacking attempts.
