Super fast shipping -- and clearly sent with great care! I've wanted one of the artist's prints for the longest time and this totally lived up to my expectations with a beautiful color scheme.

Print was great. Frame was a little cheap, but easily swapped for a different one.

I've always been super fascinated with how people identify with particular places. I think it's an essential way we define ourselves and our world view. This image is of me working on the new Chicago map.

Here is an #inprocess photo of the #philadelphia map, as I was working on it. You can see how I fill in the color by hand using colored pencil. This is 1 of 4 separate #handmade layers created for this piece.

About

Abstract Maps of Boston and Beyond

What location is important to you? There is a psychological connection between identity and location- our lives are influenced by where we are on the map. People love to talk about where they grew up, where they have lived, where they have visited on vacation and where they want to go to next.

My artistic process is a modern take on printmaking. I draw 3-6 individual layers of the same image using various media such as watercolor, colored pencil, graphite, oil pastel, etc. These drawings are then scanned at a high resolution and combined digitally to create a final artwork file. I use this file to produce high-quality prints on either canvas or paper.

The finished pieces of artwork can serve as reminders of your adventures, stories and individual experiences. Our maps can remind you of the place you call “home”, the city where you fell in love, the area where you went to college, the beach where you spent your summer holiday, plus much more. Let me help you tell your story.

Hi, Welcome to my Etsy store. Shop here for unique abstract map prints of local neighborhoods.

I am currently working on a series of Boston maps, abstract interpretations of the neighborhoods here. Boston is an old and interesting city, and has unique streets, alleys and parks. I hope to capture some of that natural beauty in my work and take it to the next level by adding interesting colors and textures.

Coming soon- a new product line of other American cities

Thanks for stopping by!
