Finding my Home
I loved the hustle of living in a big city. I loved my job as an interior designer where my creativity was encouraged and sought after.
Then I had two daughters, and what I truly wanted changed. Our lives changed with it. We moved from one of the largest cities in America to one of the most remote communities in the mountains. We simplified. Life became more about quality over quantity.
My passion to create and be artistically inspired still existed. I found new inspiration in my children and the children of my friends as I watched them in their innocent play.
Combining my passion to create with my belief in supplying children with quality toys that inspire them to be imaginative, I started Carmen Creatives and began designing and hand sewing felt play food. I have since added fabric colored pencil and crayon cases that roll up and button close to my shop.
The girls and I love perusing through the stacks of natural materials and fabrics to choose the colors of the next batch of play food we'll make. I love to witness first hand how natural play foods promote healthy eating habits and stimulate imaginative play which encourage early language development.
I am currently designing more felt play food in the form of fresh garden vegetables as well as more high quality children's toys that will inspire their owners. I have so many ideas! More items will be coming soon.
Carmen Creatives has given me a new outlet for my creativity. The local community believes in my products and supports me.
I have found my home at Carmen Creatives.

All items over $40.00 will be sent to you via Priority Mail within the U.S. This option is slightly more expensive than First Class as it provides insurance for your item up to $50 and is a more secure form of shipping for more expensive items.
