All Night Garage Sale

Seller took 5 days to mail the item. Upon receipt the jeans, which were in fact labeled "size 34" were shrunken to about a size 28 which of course was never mentioned. I messaged the seller and included a photograph of the "size 34" Levis in question against a pair of actual size 34 Levis from the same era. The seller told me he'd issue a refund, okay no problem. However it took days from when the item was returned (confirmed by USPS) and an Etsy Admin to step in for me to actually receive said refund with all sorts of excuses and shenanigans along the way. As a result I'm out eight bucks out of pocket to return the jeans as it's "not the seller's policy to issue return shipping". This really was like dealing with a maniacal carnival, so at least the shop's name is fitting in some sense.

Where do I begin? Ordered 6/28. Shipped 6/30. Delivered 7/3. Didn't take "5 days to ship the item". Jeans are labeled size 34 and measure exactly 34" at the waist with a tape measure, not "28". Buyer's photo proved nothing; it was just one pair of jeans on top of another. I was on vacation during this entire ordeal. My mail was being held. Item was not in fact returned until 3 days after he wrote this review. I of course have proof of my travel reservations, my held mail, the ship and delivery date, the size of the jeans, and more. I am an honest person and an honest seller. I handled this according to my (fair) shop policies, but the buyer lacked patience, trust, and understanding. My reputation speaks for itself, but in this case, I had to say something....

After graduating NYU with degrees in Physics and Fine Arts, I spent ten years working as a biomedical engineer. Simultaneously, I worked on photographic self-portraiture and large scale surrealist paintings using oils, pastels, and other mixed media. At some point I realized that I could free myself of the shackles of a day job - on one hand selling commissioned paintings and on the other merging my ever growing collection and knowledge of vintage clothing and trinkets with the style of self-portraiture that I had come to create. Thus was born the Carnival of the Maniac. At once, my store is a business, a social experiment, and a therapeutic mechanism that keeps the trials and tribulations of life in abeyance. Payment
International buyers are responsible for all customs fees/duties/taxes and I will not falsify customs forms under any circumstance. Unclaimed international orders will be subject to a 25% restocking fee if and when they are safely returned to my shop.
Shipping
All orders ship within two days of purchase, except Friday orders, which usually ship on Monday. If for some reason I cannot ship within two days, I will contact you and let you know exactly when I plan to ship your order.

All orders, domestic and international, ship via USPS.

All domestic orders under 13oz ship USPS first class mail. All domestic orders over 13oz ship USPS priority mail. All international orders under 4lbs ship USPS first class international. All international orders over 4lbs ship USPS priority mail. If international buyers wish to have a package that is under 4lbs shipped via priority mail, please contact me before purchasing so that I can adjust the shipping charges. Tracking and $50 insurance is automatically added to all domestic orders shipped via priority mail. Tracking or insurance can be added to any other domestic or international order - please contact me before purchasing so that I can adjust the shipping charges as necessary. In the event that the shipping charged is significantly more than the actual shipping, overages will be refunded, domestic or international.

I will gladly upgrade shipping if you need something in a hurry, whether it be USPS Priority Express/or FedEx/UPS. All you have to do is contact me before the purchase and I can adjust the shipping cost in the listing. If you realize you need it in a hurry after your purchase, just contact me and we can always work something out.

Refunds and Exchanges
I do offer refunds/returns. Returns must be initiated within 7 days of delivery of your order.

In the instance that the buyer finds a received item to be egregiously different than how I have described it in the listing (condition, color, size, etc), I offer a full refund, including shipping both ways. The refund will be issued when the item has been safely returned to me.

In the instance that an article of clothing does not fit but was accurately described in the listing, I offer a full refund of the purchase price only - I do not refund the shipping. The refund will be issued when the item has been safely returned to me.

I do not offer returns on international sales.
