Very pretty and delicate! Thanks so much!
If I Could Only Find That Package of Beads, I Know I just Saw It Somewhere Recently!
In addition to spending time with my family and friends, I can't think of anything I enjoy more than making jewelry. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, former Dental Hygienist of 25 years and jewelry maker. The hunt for those special beads and supplies is a fun part for me and I frequent many, many of the best jewelry supply shops whenever we take a trip within the USA. Some of my favorite shops are located on Cape Cod, MA., Harbor Springs and Petoskey, MI, along with Charleston, South Carolina and special bead shops in Michigan. A 1-2 hour visit to the bead shop is always on my list. Don't ask my husband or daughter, they will tell you it's more like 2-3 hours but I thank them for their patience as I look at every single thing in the bead shops.
When about the age of 14, taking my costume jewelry apart and re-purposing it into other designs, It seems, was the beginning of something that continued on for many years until one day 15 years ago, I took a jewelry making lesson and bought some pliers and started making loops and it hasn't stopped yet.
Taking classes and learning new techniques on a regular basis has been a big part of the learning process for me. It is a hobby/obsession! I most often start and end my day with a pair of round nose pliers and flat nose pliers in my hands making something, anything, could be a charm dangle or another pair of earrings which eventually get incorporated into a piece of jewelry.
On a more serious note, the last picture above is of my son who has completed 14 Marathons but in this picture he is running in the Boston Marathon, April 15, 2013, when a deadly terrorist bombing occurred, a day we will never forget. I am very proud of him and so thankful that we made it home safely that bitter sweet day.
