About

Carolyn Molder's world of Art

Drawing has always been a part of my life but serious art work began when I moved to the mountains of North Carolina. The love of painting has continued and led to Plein Air events (painting outside) and Juried shows in both Watercolor and Pastel. I am a signature member of the Georgia Watercolor Society and the Alabama Pastel Society. My work is in several galleries in Georgia and North Carolina. "Azalea Light" was chosen in 2010 for the Georgia State Capital, offices of David Ralston, Speaker of the House. Holstein & Fence resides in the Virginia State Veterinarian's office.
Painting animals is very rewarding to me and canine portraits are some of my favorites. As the owner of 3 golden retrievers, there are lots of opportunities to capture those animals. Breeding and showing Golden Retrievers taught me a lot about canine anatomy which is very helpful in my animal paintings
Classes are available in watercolor and pastel in my studio as well as The Art Center in Blue Ridge, Georgia and John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, North Carolina.
"Our talents are the gift that God gives to us... What we make of our talents is our gift back to God. When I stand before God I want to say I have none left, that I used it all. "
