I bought this second one because I really liked the first! Quality, good service.

I already left a detailed review of her product, so here's one of her packaging. It was right sized, secure, and product arrived in pristine condition. My 2 leaded glass pieces were layered inside 3 sheets of puffy stuff which was all wrapped firmly inside an envelope of bubble wrap and nestled inside styrofoam, sent in a clean, new cardboard box.

I've spent years puzzling out how to increase bathroom modesty, include a coordinating style w/o overwhelming the room, AND keep both natural light & the views of my expensively re-landscaped back yard. Cat's design fit the bill in price, style and quality. When she said she could match this item in her store with a 2nd, in mirror image, I knew I was set. These 2 pieces fit the bottom panel of my 1928 bungalow bathroom windows perfectly. I'm thrilled to have a design which nods to Piet Mondrian & Mission styles. I specifically love COLORLESS leaded glass designs because clear glass never mis-matches the rest of the decor, never dims the already often-overcast Portland views/ incoming light, and allows "jewels" to carry the brilliance more subtly. Packaging and communication speed were excellent.

About

Carters Stained Glass & Pottery - Since 1983

Back in 1983 I was talked into taking a stained glass class. I was hooked. I did glass for a hobby at first & then it grew into a business. I operated a retail store under the name Carters Stained Glass from 1988-2006 in the Knoxville, TN area. I then needed to move back home to the Nashville area to help with aging parents & a family business so I went back to doing glass work as a small hobby business. My husband's Parkinson's was also getting worse at that time so selling small things on Etsy gave me the freedom to work when I could. I joined Etsy in 2008 but did not have much time to sell until 2010, so most of my sales have been since then.

I always wanted to learn pottery but never had time while operating my store. As luck would have it, there is a pottery studio near where I now live that has classes. I have progressed from a beginner to adv.beginner. I am now advancing my skills, doing harder projects, & developing my own signature glaze combinations.

Welcome to Carter's Stained Glass and Pottery. I enjoy making and sharing my art with others to enjoy. I have been doing stained glass professionally since 1983 so you are purchasing from a seasoned artist!!!

Doing stained glass and pottery, in addition to my music, provides me with therapy to get through a tough time in my life with dealing with the declining health of my husband. I am an environmentally conscience person who recycles, conserves energy and other resources at home and in the studio. I am also an animal lover and have 2 dogs, 2 ducks, and 20 hens.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
I accept Direct Payment through Etsy and PayPal. All sales in Tennessee will be charged sales tax. Any cancellations need to be done quickly as I am fast to get orders out. Custom orders need to be paid upfront.
Shipping
I ship USPS PRIORITY and FIRST CLASS mail. I usually get shipments out in 2-4 business days. All items are carefully packed. With as many orders I have had I have very few issues with items being broken.

If you are buying mutiple items, the shipping is not always correct. It may also vary depending on where it is shipped to, etc. I will offer a refund if the shipping is much less than what was charged. Shipping also includes cost of a box and packing materials.

TRACKING - All my orders have a tracking number so my customers and I can keep track of where the package is. The tracking service through Etsy's new postage system is wonderful! It has helped me curb the con of a customer saying their package did not arrive and want their money back when the item DID arrive.

I will convo you on what day your purchase will ship and if something unforeseen comes up and there are any changes to the shipping date, I will let you know.
Refunds and Exchanges
Shipping glass and pottery is a risk. I try my best to pack everything to get there safely. So far I have had very few issues with breakage!!! If anything does arrive broken, you need to exchange an item, or the item did not arrive, you need to contact me within 30 days of the TRANSACTION DATE to arrange a refund or other satisfactory solution to meet your needs. You are welcome to exchange an item if you just change your mind about what you purchased, but you will need to pay the shipping charges. I try my best to present my work so you know what you are getting up front. I am willing to provide additional pictures, etc. so you know what you are getting and there is no need for an exchange or return.

If an item has been broken during shipment, you need to take pictures of the ITEM and the BOX if there is any physical damage on it as well. Depending on the item and the severity of the damage, I can determine if you should either return the item at my cost to be fixed, just scrap that one and I will send another one if possible, or do a refund.
