AMAZING, JUST AMAZING! I couldn't be more thrilled with my purchase. These wings are truly a work of art! So much more beautiful in person!! This shop was so fantastic about making sure my items arrived on time. I was so happy with the first pair, I decided to buy another! I put the first pair of wings on a flannel, which came out great! & the second as you can see in this photo was signed by Norman Reedus himself!!! He LOVED the wings and the attention to detail! I will cherish these forever, thank you again! I'm obsessed with them!

About

Setting sail with the Castaways!

The Castaway Trading Company is the pet project of Michael Sheridan and Sarah Rose - two intrepid artists, adventurers, and general ne'er-do-wells, who strive to deliver the most authentic and unique accessories this side of Tortuga.

Sarah is the daughter of Lenore of Götaland (the deposed crown princess of Sweden) and a mysterious Frenchman whose identity has never been confirmed. At the tender age of 3 she was sold to a family of Hungarian circus performers in order to pay off the Princess' growing debts, and with this troupe of vagabonds she made her way to America, becoming the youngest chainsaw juggler in sideshow history. Along the way she also became an avid photographer, chronicling her strange journeys over the years with a keen eye for composition (many of her more brilliant photographs are now apocryphally attributed to the famed photographer, Diane Arbus). When Sarah came of age, she struck out on her own to seek her fortune, where she met Michael, and together, they formed the Castaway Trading Company.

Michael is the natural son of a poor Irish-American bean farmer, and an even poorer Gypsy schoolmarm. At the age of seven, Michael won first place in the International Whistling Olympics, taking home the grand prize of $10,000,000, which he used to buy his family a small plantation in up-state Montana. In his youthful arrogance, however, Michael opted to use the remainder of the prize money to purchase for himself a pirate ship in order that he might plunder the Spanish Main. This proved ill-advised, as he turned out to be a remarkably poor pirate. His propensity for whistling - considered unlucky, and just downright irritating by most self-respecting mariners - did not help matters. However, he made a meager living of it, and on one fateful day when he was 21, he captured the ship carrying Sarah rose from Boston Harbor to Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The two fell instantly in love, but alas their bliss was short lived, as they were soon shipwrecked in a terrible storm, and cast away on a deserted tropical island, not marked on any charts. Here, they began to trade with the natives, learning from them the secrets of making exotic trinkets, jewelry, and leather goods, while also picking up the finer points of a strange , heretofore unknown variation of New Orleans Voodoo. Thus, the Castaway Trading Company was born.

Today, Sarah and Michael live with their pet Holland Lop rabbit, Annabelle, in a comfortable townhome in Littleton, Colorado. Though arguably fully domesticated, and well shot of their wild and reckless pasts, they continue to make uniquely quirky accessories, with an emphasis on the nautical, the functional, and the macabre. Michael still enjoys whistling, and Sarah still enjoys photography from time to time. And if you ask really, really nicely, Sarah may just juggle a chainsaw or two for you.

P.S. That last part is true.
P.P.S. Except the bit with the chainsaws.
