Handmade jewelry inspired by our Latino roots
Hello all!
My name is Melina, I am the owner of Castillo & Co. Jewelry.
The name of the shop is a tip of the hat to my last name, Castillo. Castillo translates to "castle" in English which explains my logo.
My passion for jewelry-making started at a very young age. My grandmother would always gift me jewelry from when she would visit us in the states. I wanted to give her something back for her wonderful presents; so I began to make her bracelets from plastic beads and elastic.
As I made more jewelry for my grandmother and other people, I became more curious about the techniques used to make more intricate pieces and toyed with different materials. So those plastic beads and elastic transformed to czech glass beads and wire materials, and so on.
That being said, jewelry has played a sentimental role in my life and has become the way I express myself and how I show my appreciation for others. It has also become a way for me to tend to my roots since bead-weaving reminds me of the Huichol artisans I would see growing up when I visited Mexico every year.
The mission of Castillo & Co. Jewelry is to create handmade jewelry inspired by our Latino roots. We create our designs with the intent of celebrating our culture through use of different colors, materials, shapes, and textures in our jewelry making techniques.

Care instructions
- Avoid contact with perfumes, body oils, and
other chemicals, including household cleaners.
-Never use chemical jewelry cleaners on plated jewelry
- For light cleaning: gently polish with a soft, lint-free cloth to avoid scratching.
- Store jewelry in a cool dry place, avoid storing in direct sunlight, beads may fade in prolonged exposure to sun
- Remove jewelry before bathing, swimming, etc. (Avoid getting wet, this may also cause beads to fade)
- Handle gently to avoid metal components from bending, thread ripping, or beads breaking
Gift wrapping and packaging
-Your jewelry will come in a colorful padded mailer envelope.
-All items will come in a either a kraft box with logo stamped on top or a brown earring card with logo stamped on top, it depends on the product.
-If you order multiple items, I will arrange as many of the items as I can into one box/earring card. If you would like the items in separate boxes/earring cards, please notify me.
Item Shipped to Wrong Address
We are not responsible for any stolen or lost packages. For these issues please contact USPS directly at 1-800-ASK-USPS
We won’t be held responsible for incorrect addresses provided at checkout. However, we are able to fix corrections if they are caught by the customer before shipping.
Once shipped we are unable to intercept/stop the package. Please notify person at old address, & tell them you have a package being delivered
